About Me

Hello! I’m Emma Garcia, an aspiring instructional designer who’s curious, creative, and kind. My passion for teaching began as a teenager, when I taught swim lessons to adults and children. Helping people reach their goals through problem-solving was incredibly rewarding, and I’ve been hooked on instruction ever since.

Since then, I’ve worked with learners in various capacities, including leading trainings, interning in classrooms, and designing learning experiences. These experiences taught me that learning is gradual and that a caring, patient instructor can make all the difference. Studying instructional design, adult learning theories, and LXD has only deepened my admiration for how people learn.

That mindset carries into my personal life, too. I love learning through my hobbies, making art, working out, playing piano, and playing volleyball. Each one reminds me that growth comes from curiosity and consistency.

I’d be an excellent addition to any team thanks to my eagerness to learn, collaborate, and apply my skills. Let’s work together!
